Community Builders Network hosts 3rd Annual Awards Reception
The Community Builders Network of Metro St. Louis hosted its 3rd Annual Awards Reception on March 19th at the Cortex Building in the Central West End. This year’s award winners included Anita Telkamp of the City of St. Charles, Cynthia Jordan of Citi, Guy Slay of Mangrove Redevelopment, and Debra H. Moore of St. Clair County. The Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation was awarded for excellence in philanthropy. Workday, a Ministry of Restore St. Louis and New City Foundation, was recognized for their community development work as a faith based group. DeSales Community Housing was awarded for excellence as a Community Builders Network member. Rise also announced the winners of their collaborative grant during the celebration. This year’s grantees received a total of $76,500. The winners included DeSales Community Housing, Greater Alton Community Development, Inc., Northside Community Housing, Inc., Tower Grove Neighborhoods CDC, Lemay Development Corporation and Lemay Housing Partnership.
